IMA ALGRA
What one thing could you not go a day without?
My girlfriend.
Describe yourself in a single sentence.
MacGyver could never.
What are you studying?
I’m studying psychology. The dream is to become a sex/relation therapist and contribute to a healthy and happy sex life of people, especially that of women. Would be pretty cool to close the orgasm gap, right? Improving sex education I find very important and necessary as well, getting rid of the stigmas surrounding this really important topic.
What would you change about the modeling/fashion industry?
I wish that every person, no matter their size, race, gender or sexuality, would have no trouble finding clothes they feel comfortable and beautiful in. That starts by actually creating fashion for a wider range/variety of people, and not be limited to a niche.
What is your favorite sport?
Keeping the house clean, I just can’t get enough of it.
Ima 178 cm tall, wears a size 42-44 and a 41 shoe.

Who inspires you?
A couple of years ago during my travels I ended up in Croatia, on the island Hvar. There, I met Agnes. A remarkable woman who drives an old, blue Renault Kangoo with a French license plate. We picked lavender and made lavender oil. We would scream into the air on top of the mountain for no one to hear. We picked vegetables from her garden that she worked so hard for to get. After we would cook with those vegetables and I realized that is a richness I asprire to have. She taught me how to build beds and talked about French stereotypes, musicians she loves and about her dream to sail the Pacific. She even let me drive her car. Agnes trusts anyone, she’ll give it to you, the only thing you can do is loose that trust. Agnes dreamed big and worked hard to make those dreams reality. But she did not stop, she is still dreaming as she goes. She is dreaming big, selfless, beautiful dreams. And she inspires me the most. The crux: never to stop dreaming.
If you could give your younger self any advice, what would it be?
I think I did pretty well, maybe I would tell her to cut her hair more often and be patience for that mermaid coup.
How do you like to spend your free time?
Living the cottage core life in my Frisian hometown. You know, making bramble jam, writing love letters, walking the dog, swimming in cold water, making flower crowns, cook endless meals, read endless books, drink endless cups of coffee… Basically romanticizing life.
